The Role

What you'll do on assignment.

As a travel radiation therapist, you deliver prescribed doses of therapeutic radiation to oncology patients using linear accelerators and other treatment delivery systems. You position patients with precision, verify treatment plans, monitor for adverse reactions, and provide emotional support throughout their cancer treatment journey.

Travel radiation therapy assignments typically place you in cancer centers, hospital oncology departments, or freestanding treatment facilities. You may deliver IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, and electron beam treatments across various anatomical sites within a single contract.

Because Cuready understands healthcare professionals, your recruiter knows the difference between a high-volume community cancer center and an academic facility with advanced treatment modalities. They match you to assignments that align with your linac experience and treatment technique proficiency.

Training & Education

Your path to the field.

From accredited radiation therapy programs to clinical specialization — what the professional journey looks like for radiation therapy.

Your recruiter knows this pathway.

Because Cuready is built by healthcare professionals, we understand what each credential means and how to match your training to the right assignments.

Radiation therapists complete a JRCERT-accredited radiation therapy program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree). Programs cover radiation physics, treatment planning, patient positioning, radiation biology, and oncology nursing principles alongside clinical rotations in radiation oncology departments.

The primary credential is ARRT (T) — Radiation Therapy certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. CMD (Certified Medical Dosimetrist) is available for therapists who transition into treatment planning roles.
